@Stickler and @Chimera - my vet has said that to me. It terrifies me to my core. To care for him, to ease his burdens a little means a lot to me. I wish he could see himself as I see him - not as a burden, as a hero. @Stickler - I bet my bottom dollar that your supporter doesn't see you as a burden and would be lost without you.

I say everything I need to before each sleep & before each leaving. Never know when it's going to be the last time. And that memory? That last time? Will stay with me, always. Pain is bad enough without regretting the way I left it. And there's never a way to know which moment is last.
