Blue Jays

Hi Alex,

I'm a bird watcher. We don't have Blue Jays or Steller's Jayss here but we do get the Eurasian Jay...

They are not always liked because they steal eggs from other birds nests and love shiny things (a bit like the magpie). But it sings so well and can mimic that people tend to blame the magpie more than the Jay.

I am overjoyed at so much Bluejay information. A recent conversation with a 40ish aged person who stated bird watching must be an "old" person thing.

I remember the rat race of the age. Racing through life to get ahead. Not allowing time to see the beauty around, I think they call it the mid-life crisis period. Stop and smell the roses.

I think the Bluejay has been scared by the crows, which are quite common here. If you feed them they will come. Although it was 90 degrees, I feel the birds preparing for winter.

I am going to have to find some bluejay food. The crows are huge, compared to the Bluejay; sometimes nature is unfair. So I will fight for the bluejays. Hugs Whitney
