He is in treatment. He sees a psychologist who specializes in PTSD in first responders, and our family doctor is overseeing his medication. The psychiatrist he had was terrible. We live in a small town, so there are no choices here. He got the only psychiatrist available when he was in the hospital after his suicide attempt. The guy said there was "no such thing as PTSD" and "no treatment for it". So, we looked elsewhere for help. It took a couple months, but we found a good treatment team for him.
