I had the same thought but not enough courage to say it.

"Courage" probably has nothing to do with it. I have a tendency to bypass "fear" on the way to "rage" and might have a slight problem with "impulse control" now and then. Not always a good combination, hence the the request from my T. (The way he said it, I took it that he was only "kind of" joking.)

It's totally beyond my comprehension how anyone can remotely think this kind of stuff is "ok"....... I can't even think of anything else to say......:sorry:

I don't think that could possibly be ignored. There's plenty of news stories that mention some vague 'internet task force' sparking investigations. To me, that sounds like there's some highly trained and very concerned people working on these things. There's a lot of it for those people to deal with, and you just made their job easier.

I am assuming you have reported it in the US. I was just thinking if this was in the UK I would also report it or 'bring it to the attention' of various children's charities such as Childline, NSPCC (national society for prevention of cruelty to children) or Children First. I'm sure there are others who would be interested.

In the UK, the first point of contact should be CEOP - the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre, part of the National Crime Agency. I presume all the points of contact you mention @Lucycat would pass it on to them.

I had the same thought... It might be highly effective and not exactly wrong, but it is very very illegal.

Well, apparently we can fantasise freely about that if we're doing it under the guise of saying we're not going to act on it. All we need is one little disclaimer and we can get into discussions about all sorts of dubious and illegal stuff... apparently.

By the way, I know that particular website and from my experience of the moderation and overall ethics there, it's a sick wolf in sheep's clothing. Good for you, anonymous, for flagging it up and reporting it. I'm going to do the same.

Just a thought, but if reporting it doesn't feel like enough sometimes a nudge from the financial end can encourage webmasters to step up their ethics. If the site accepts payments for anything like enhanced memberships, the credit card processing companies could potentially revoke the account for objectionable content. The 'terms of service' vary from company to company, but there's very very few that would allow payment for anything remotely hinting at underage sexuality or possible criminal activity.
