The Lines Of A Song

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this or not but hopefully so.

One of my big passions in life is music, particularly guitar. I have been learning to play for about 3 years now and to be honest am not tremendously good still but I love it. Whilst my shoulder is injured I am unable to play which is a big blow to me so I am trying to keep myself occupied musically in other ways.

For a long time now I have kind of dabbled at a bit of song lyric writing and am trying to put together some lyrics from the point of view of a PTSD sufferer and it would be great if you could all help me??

I would like you to post just brief phrases, words, thoughts that sum up PTSD to you that I could maybe include into the lyrics. It doesn't matter is it is a description, a phrase, a few words or just one word - it will all help and be good in include things from others.

To give you a feel for it here is the first verse of Damaged, the song title, inspired by the awful nightmares I have been suffering from

A thousand nights
Of thoughts unsaid
A host of demons in my head
The darkness comes
The demons rise
The haunting scenes
Behind my eyes

Please join in and help folks, would be great to feel the finished song came from all of us.
