There's A Party On The Web - Will You Come?

Your welcome. I would honestly advise anyone participating to ensure they have the correct day and time relevant to them, as this is based entirely from Amethists time zone. I only reinterate this as this single issue is usually the largest issue for live chats. People often don't think about time differences, which includes days also depending where you are located within the world.

Nicolette and I will try and make it, depending on how we are going that time of the morning during holidays.

I will be there, but Hercules the Cat is asking to attend too. I must say that he is very well behaved and has good manners round food. He does however, tend to try and take over the conversation, but can he come anyway?

My I suggest a simple reminder mybe 24/48 hours prior to the party you send out a small reminder. After all you know none of us can remember shit!

When Amethist and I talked, we thought of this as a "rolling" party. She will start in her time zone, it will be 2 PM eastern US but as we progress, the western US can join later. Still going at 8 PM my time, Amethist will be 1 AM and probably asleep but by then it would be about noon, Monday in Australia and those there could hopefully join in at some time. We could even come and go. Talk about our holidays and gifts. But to try to get EVERYONE who wants to join in involved. Or even see how many countries we can get represented at the party!!

Just a fun idea, I think!

I mean, I could talk with those in Great Britain in the afternoon, maybe step away a little, be back in a few hours and talk with those in the US and Canada and later talk with those in Australia and maybe New Zealand.

Maybe a gift exchange next year?

LOL, I got a Secret Santa gift from New Zealand this year!!!

Cool! Count me in! But, as Herc said, please post again to remind us! I can bring egg nog (bring your own stuff to give it "kick") and small muffins.

I believe a very important aspect is that people become familiar in how to create rooms and move between rooms within the live chat. The biggest issue for most is trying to follow a party chat. Intimidation is also another aspect for anyone who is a little shy to just jump in feet first. I suggest to all that they use those features, jump between smaller chats, create public or private rooms, label your rooms appropriately to the discussion, etc.

This will really improve a party chat environment.

Sounds like a great idea! I'm fairly new here and would like to get to know some of you a little bit and this sounds like a great way to do it!

Nicolette and I will try and make it, depending on how we are going that time of the morning during holidays.

Due to the time zone difference, if we do attend I will be in my pyjamas being 6am in the morning and unfortunately that may not be a pretty sight for some.

I am currently eating a bird seed type cereal for brekkie which no-one here will even go near but I may be able to convince my darling husband to make porridge if it is a cool morning.

Hope I can figure out the timing for canada...
Here is a few places across Canada attached....
