The talkative part is perhaps due to tendency to be quiet and the damn breaking; knowing that it could likely taper off with time and you could practice controlling it too.
I never take it a night as it will keep me up. And I think it is great for social/emotional pain...no can't lay around playing video games or take it totally passively and expect it to help; one still has to be introspective and work towards moderating ones behaviors.
As for people have bad reactions when stopping it...that happens with antidepressants too. If someone called up crying because their antiperssants were flushed that would be OK but a mild pain reliever? Too much hysteria.
