Upcoming surgery and anxiety

@Anarchy thanks for your insider information :). It´s not that I have a bad feeling about the surgeons themselves, per se (the leading surgeon is famous for her work here, specially on reconstruction). I met the leading surgeon twice and she seemed very nice, I do trust her. It´s everybody else (the other surgeon, the anesthesiologist, and anybody else who might be present) that I have difficulty trusting.

I hope with the advice of Scout perhaps I can talk to them, and get them to talk me through it.

but I need them to walk me through the procedure verbally before anything happens.
By which I mean the whole day, from walking in, to waking up.
That's exactly the kind of thing I find helpful too. I hate surprises and, if left to my own imagination........well, that's never good! I had an experience with an eye doctor where my T talked to him first. (It was HIS eye doctor and HIS idea.) That helped a lot. They ended up both taking my concerns seriously AND not treating my like an annoying crazy person. Good luck!
