I think this is a pretty darn sensible policy ("yes" means yes.) And when I've talked to students bitching about it I've suggested that perhaps, if you are not mature enough to ask a simple question and get/give a simpler answer maybe you shouldn't be swapping body fluids. I can't see the objections, frankly.

Of course, I think it is totally crazy that you cannot be held to a contract you were never apprised of the terms of, and that the ONLY contract that is legally binding that escapes this requirement is marriage, which you cannot even GET the terms of if you ask. But that's just me.:sour::grumpy::alien:

Oh, and my school is apparently unaware that State statute basically requires affirmative consent - and making a "yes" necessary is just a small tweak.

Snort. We have a cultural inhibition against saying "no". In any context.

That said... My son brings me the different sex videos that get spread around his school. I have to say, I'm both shocked & surprised at how good most of them are. TomSka's is one of the most popular... And I really like what he has to say on the subject of consent:

'What is consent? A willing, sober, & continuous Yes! Anything else is sexual assault or rape.'@ apx 4:40
