@Friday I honestly can't imagine how someone can order people off the front lines that FIGHT to keep our country free and safe when we have a (----------) (fill in the blank because I will get thread banned if I say what I really want to say....). In the White House, that got a deferment 4 times because his foot hurt. These men and women would and do put their lives on the line for that --------------------- and he has the audacity to f*cking tweet that they are no longer wanted?!?!?!?!? I'm sitting here with tears, and a broken heart and wonder HOW these poor souls can even finish doing what they are doing knowing how that ---------- feels about them..... it's so disgusting and beyond words and thoughts.

I am also very upset, @She Cat. But just throwing this out here and as deplorable as this is: what if he is again trying to generate chaos (which, by the way, plays right into Putin's hands) in order to distract us from Sessions and Russia?

I really am not sure how to analyze this all. On the one hand, Trump seems to be reacting on impulse and throwing things like this out there to distract all of us from what else is going on. And yet, I also really doubt his ability for having any kind of sustained strategy in anything. And we know he doesn't listen to anyone. It's like a total clusterf*ck.

@hodge. I have so many theories about all of this.

He's just -------
It's distraction so the republicans can get bills passed and we don't know anything till after!!
That he's trying to turn this into an autocratic government.
Putin and him are in cahoots to try and become the two most powerful countries.

I'm probably way off here, but shit, anything is possible with his behavior. I don't even think that the any of the politicians know what's up either....

I don't think you're too far off, @She Cat. He is hiding something big. Really big. And I wouldn't be surprised if it amounted to him agreeing to doing Putin's bidding in exchange for his election and continued support and perhaps loan forgiveness. I know this sounds extreme, but we have all seen ample evidence that Trump has no loyalty to the U.S., only to himself. And why all these contacts with Russians from so many of his people, including Sessions, and including a back channel directly to Putin in the Russian Embassy where they evidently hope to avoid U.S. intelligence? And all these people "forget" to put them on their security clearance applications?

No, there is definitely something huge in the background here. The likes of which we have never seen in this country. Just pray Republicans in Congress step up. Lindsey Graham has indicated he will. MSNBC's Casie Hunt says she's hearing that privately a lot of Republicans are saying the same thing. They are our only hope.

I don't know what's worse: the possibility that our White House is being in part controlled by Putin or that it is achingly slow for even the media to arrive at this rational conclusion from all the evidence we have in public so far. Or, maybe that's a false comparison. It's all bad. And it triggers me badly. I used to at least feel safe as a U.S. citizen. Now that's been taken away from me. I know that much of this hasn't been proven yet, but I am not a dummy. I see the evidence. I follow everything in mainstream media. I am not in favor of conspiracy theories, and I can spot them. No, this assessment is derived from months and months of following well-researched stories about the intricacies of Trump and his people and the Russians -- all that is available in public knowledge, and, together with the way he's been behaving, it all points to the same thing. A financial clusterf*k that, oh, by the way, will also undermine our democracy.

This is funny and disturbing all at the same time: The 35 most eye-popping quotes from Anthony Scaramucci's CNN interview - CNNPolitics.com. From the article:
17. "There are people inside the administration that think it is their job to save America from this President. That is not their job."
A truly remarkable statement -- and an acknowledgment that some of the people who work for Trump believe Trump is dangerous to the country.
Yep.

I wonder why these people work for him, except to try to control him... and it's failing.

From what I heard this afternoon (not going to try to find & post links with my phone), the Pentagon's response to all this was that they will wait until they get a conventional order, from the Sec. of Defense. Good to know a tweet is not an order!

I have no idea of there's a plan here or not. From what I've read elsewhere, Trump reads something and reacts to it on Twitter, no pause for thought or reflection. So he might have heard something that made him think gender reassignment surgery was expensive and would cost the military a ton of money & he fired off the tweet. Like he did with the 'Obama wiretapped me!' tweet. Based on an article he'd read on Breitbart or something. (Fake news?) Maybe he has a plan. Maybe it's a deliberate diversion. So far, he hasn't done anything that makes me think he's that organized. But maybe that's what he wants us to think. :cautious: I'm just glad to know the professionals, for the most part, are plugging away, doing their jobs, regardless.

Wait till you read/hear the interview that the Smootch gave to the New Yorker. It was full of the word f*ck, and called Priebus a f*cking, schizophrenic, blah blah blah and threatened to fire a shit load of people. He IS Trumps Mini me!!!!! I didn't check out the size of his hands though..... hahahahaha
