I don't think you're too far off,
@She Cat. He is hiding something big. Really big. And I wouldn't be surprised if it amounted to him agreeing to doing Putin's bidding in exchange for his election and continued support and perhaps loan forgiveness. I know this sounds extreme, but we have all seen ample evidence that Trump has no loyalty to the U.S., only to himself. And why all these contacts with Russians from so many of his people, including Sessions, and including a back channel directly to Putin in the Russian Embassy where they evidently hope to avoid U.S. intelligence? And all these people "forget" to put them on their security clearance applications?
No, there is definitely something huge in the background here. The likes of which we have never seen in this country. Just pray Republicans in Congress step up. Lindsey Graham has indicated he will. MSNBC's Casie Hunt says she's hearing that privately a lot of Republicans are saying the same thing. They are our only hope.
I don't know what's worse: the possibility that our White House is being in part controlled by Putin or that it is achingly slow for even the media to arrive at this rational conclusion from all the evidence we have in public so far. Or, maybe that's a false comparison. It's all bad. And it triggers me badly. I used to at least feel safe as a U.S. citizen. Now that's been taken away from me. I know that much of this hasn't been proven yet, but I am not a dummy. I see the evidence. I follow everything in mainstream media. I am not in favor of conspiracy theories, and I can spot them. No, this assessment is derived from months and months of following well-researched stories about the intricacies of Trump and his people and the Russians -- all that is available in public knowledge, and, together with the way he's been behaving, it all points to the same thing. A financial clusterf*k that, oh, by the way, will also undermine our democracy.
