Saw on CNN last night....

Trump supporters (not sure what organization) are running a call in drive so Trump supporters can call to support the president.

Err, Uhm, I saw the actual commercial ad that wants Trump supporters to call. (Don't flame me, I was watching the Irma coverage, and MSNBC doesn't even know there's a hurricane! Lol.)

My mom looked at the tv and was like "that's a bunch of shit. Since when do presidents need to advertise in order to get support?!?"

Lol. So pathetic. (Sorry if this has been mentioned already.)

Yeah, he started campaigning for 2020 within weeks of taking office. What a dorkus. I think it's looking less and less likely that he will survive his first term.

What I loved was after he and the dems did a deal yesterday on funding the budget for 3 months. Trump was gloating over the TV coverage and ratings he was getting for doing the deal. Can you say Narcissistic??????

Trump has been on the campaign trail, since he announced he was running for president. He never stopped and he still hasn't played the role of president. He's still in campaign mode!!!

I'm still hoping and praying that they get him on obstruction of justice!!!! We all know now that his son has lied. That came out as soon as he finished his testimony the other day.... so things are hopeful....

Yeah, @SheCat, my wonkie hubby disagrees, but I really wonder whether Trump is so driven by his ego (or, maybe more accurately, id) that his behavior might fall in line with the favorable press he's gotten with this Dem deal. I say, if there's even a chance of that, let him keep getting good press about it! Maybe it will steer him in a positive direction. Can anyone say "positive reinforcement"? I think we've really got to treat this guy as the emotional toddler and intellectual nonstarter that he is. What do we have to lose?

Sigh. Yeah, so true, @Milo's papa. He is totally undependable and unpredictable, and, what's worse is that he likes it that way. I don't know if anything will really work with him, but I guess at this point I don't see how positive reinforcement for his one good action to date could do any harm. I could be wrong. We are so in uncharted territory.

I do compare him with my mother, who is very much like him personality-wise. She's the only person I know who is anything like him. I can say that when I have given her positive reinforcement for not abusing me, for doing various good things, she has responded well. Granted, I believe she is more functional and hard-working than Trump is, but just as narcissistic and crazy in a lot of ways similar to him. Just, please God, don't ever let them get together.

Yeah, isn't it funny how everyone believes science when they tell them a hurricane is coming, yet some will balk at the same scientists who tell them global warming is real?

Someone actually came into the center yesterday (The Marine Mammal Center) and challenged one of our volunteer youth crew, in an aggressive manner, about the *reality* of climate change citing the hurricanes. What?!

1. We are a scientific research center as well as rehab facility.
2. An integral part of our messaging has to do with WHY the animals are with us in the first place (um...pollution and climate change and canaries of the sea and all that)
3. If climate change isn't real, why seek out a scientific venue, very much in a remote area, to spout your ignorant opinions?! (I actually can answer this, but am simply incredulous).
4. Regarding the hurricanes, I can't even...

The man was escorted off site, but not before reducing our teen youth volunteer to tears and pissing me off for the next decade. Sadly, as ready as I was, I was not permitted to do the escorting. Boo!

I heard a fragment of a Rush Limbaugh quote this afternoon. Didn't hear the whole thing, but it sounded like he was making the accusation that the hurricanes were some sort of liberal plot to advance the case for climate change. Like I said, I didn't hear the whole thing. I heard wrong, didn't I? I mean, not even Rush could possibly think that, could he?
