Vietnam Veterans Charity

There is an article in today's CNN about a VA lawyer who also runs a Vietnam Veterans Charity. He drives a Rolls Royce and veterans receives just 2% of the donations. Disgusting.

Oh I believe it. Lotta greedy f*ckers ready to capitalize on others loses.

You know, I get so pissed about this issue. I won't mention the name of the charity but it has a lot of stars advertising for it. And it surely makes tons of money. That goes to pay for executive life styles. Sure it helped some people. But very few to what it COULD have helped.

My friends think I am crazy because every time I see a commercial I vacillate between shooting the screen or just going to the head and crying while I visualize guys dying in the mud, maimed by a one second shot, and of course, me. At least I can walk with meds and I still have a decent brain. So I get up off the toilet seat and Charlie Mike.

Are we beggars in the street for just asking a remedy for sticking our ass out on the line? Just enough help to get us independent? But this PTSD thing is a piece of sand in the ointment. You look OK but inside your a graveyard.

@vikingr24 you are spot on. And no we aren't beggars. I think most of us have our shot group on life pretty tight. The younger ones are trying to re-adapt and it's challenging. Then there are the groups like you mentioned as well as another group that have only focused on their generation of vets. It Really pisses me off.

And the words of the recruiter and some of the trainers in basic and later: The US government will take care of you if you are injured in combat. I don't feel sorry for me. I feel sorry the guys that are maimed, mentally and physically, that have kids, and wives that worry everynight what the future is going to be and most of all -- was it worth it?

Ok guy, get your BP down.

I'll say it for you since I've been exposing the Wounded Warrior Project for several years! As am Alumni they failed me at every turn & request. They have no doubt helped many but it hasn't been enough compared to donations and the numbers didn't add up. The lawyer Nardizzi and his buddy just got FIRED recently! That was to save face since they stole the non profit from the founder and bragged about how much they made for the veterans. What did them in was how much they made for themselves first -- but -- being the shrewd lawyer he justified it all. Too bad for him, in the end, his own non profit Board of Directors disagreed.

Still the WWP does make a bunch of cash for itself. It has so much it has to actually grant out money to other non profits that do something for Veterans so they can report more share getting to Veterans. I hope they have decided to return a higher % of profit now that Nardizzi is gone. Time will tell...meanwhile they have taken a major PR hit!
