In just two hours the big game starts. I live in an area dominated by Green Bay Packer football fans. It's often said that Packer fans are "special". I'm not sure what that means, but I have no doubt. When I went to the store this morning I saw people wearing head gear with green and gold antena like things and a few cheeseheads. For those of you who are unaware, a cheesehead is a two foot square foam thing they wear on their head that looks like a big piece of Swiss cheese. There were also one couple that had dyed their hair green. As I was looking around at all of these people I couldn't help but thinking - AND I'M THE ONE IN THERAPY?

Packer football fans have been called the biggest looney tunes on the planet. Could be - but I'm wondering - WHAT DO THE WACKY FANS IN YOUR PART OF THE WORLD WEAR AND DO?

Great post idea :) ... okay, wacky fans in my part of the world? Bah, well you know all about English footie. They all go down the pub in their shirts, shout with pints of beers in their hands... when they win, the cars are all hooting, and when they lose, there's a sudden rise in violent crime!

I think I want to have the packer football fans here, they're much more fun!

I don't think England takes enough interest or pride in sport... that's why we're all fat.

We have Bucs fans here in Tampa. Usually the Fridays before game day (Sunday) folks start wearing red and white. Mostly red. A lot of businesses have Buccaneer Fridays. We have a number of big time fans that are somewhat local celebrities...they deck themselves and their vehicles and such in red, white and pewter (Bucs colors). Lots of tailgating parties. Tons of gear comes out for game day.

When the Packers come to town we have 'The Battle of the Bays'. Lots of competition between fans on that game day!

I've been to the stadium and watched the Bucs play before. I much prefer home. Not because of the crowds, but because most folks are so busy getting snot-slinging-down drunk at the stadium that they distract from the game. Besides, the picture is better on my TV!

PS-I'm hoping that the Packers stomp the Giants tonight. And not because the Giants beat the Bucs in the first play off game...no, that has NOTHING to do with it. *grin*

Can't really say anymore about our BUC fans as Lisa said it all. Of course, we do have 1 local fan who has gotten semi famous by painting his entire body in team colors and wqears some kind of weird hat with his team shirt and beads. He is something else. I am watching the Greenbay---New York game and there was a shot of 3 girls wearing bikinis at the game.

What are they thinking???????????????????????? The temp is 2 below!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As nice as they looked WHAT ARE THEY THINKING ? IT'S 2 BELOW ZERO

There's no thought involved. That's alcohol induced brain damage.

It is too bad the Packers lost. People will still be in a bad mood when I go back to work tomorrow. Some of them take this stuff WAY too seriously.

I paid no attention to where you were actually from. OMG I'm connecting with a snow bird ! ! ! And a snow bird that is not into football to much

to avoid confusion i will call it soccer:wink: usually involves a couple of tribalistic mobs fighting war by proxy by two teams kicking a ball around, when the match has finished a number of them usually carry on the warfare one to one, i once escaped to australia with the hope of not seeing it on, walked in a newtown pub in sydney and it was full of footie fans in liverpool shirts and a big tv with a game on.
