Home made puppy loaf including vegetables and nutritional dog food biscuits hidden within. Lily loved it and came begging for more. I think she liked it more than her favourite roast "chicken" which she walks on her two hind legs for.

Lily is not well and we had to take her to the emergency vet this morning. She's on a drip and stable so that's good news.

I am so sorry, Nicolette...what do they think is wrong with her?

No idea @nursenurse - I'm thinking some sort of virus, nothing definitive. Frothy vomit, not being able to stand (hind legs collapsing) and blood test showed dehydration (possibly from vomiting?). She's been in the hospital for over 5 hours now. They said they will try and give her food and to call back in 3 - 4 hours.

It's not like her to be listless and with pet poisonings in the area at some parks, let alone the possibility that she may have eaten something bad, we figured it wasn't worth the risk to wait and see what happened.

You were so right to do what you did. Before I became Nursenurse, I was in animal health technology, working my way to becoming a vet.

IV fluids are sometimes the simplest yet most effective ways of treating ailments, both human and animal. I will ask my buddy, St. Francis of Assisi, to help. It is hard not to worry, she is your baby. Waiting is so unsettling, but necessary. My heart to you and Anthony. And of course to Lily.

Sending good energy to Lily, and calming energy to you guys. She is just too cute. I believe my daughter has a stuffed animal that looks JUST like her! I hope she gets better and comes home quickly...
