What Are You Feeling Today? Not Thinking, Rather Feeling! Can You Identify Yours?

Started out feeling pretty good today, relieved that I may not have to deal with triggers over the upcoming break.

Now, I feel...well I don't feel much of anything because allowing myself to do so will make it so I can't do my schoolwork (besides, I'm terrible at feeling emotion).

My computer isn't working anymore so now I'm having to use the library computers to get my work done which means I'll have to walk across campus alone tonight to get home (I really, really hate the dark if I'm walking by myself).

I am feeling grateful today and tired. The train was late because a door wouldnt close, so I missed my connection and arrived an hour later. Meanwhile my ex decided to run some errands, and got stuck in traffic, so me and my kids missed the next train and we arrived 2 hours later. Exhausted, but happy to be together. We have so much to do and talk about. The kids want to make an animation film tomorrow.

I'm in a mixed mood tonight.

I feel guilty for becoming overwhelmed at the Victorian Fair I went to. I went on a mini bus with the WI. At first it was fine, very busy, big crowds around the stalls. Then, the noise from a funfair, and flashing lights (funfair and emergency vehicles), pounding music and people everywhere. I felt like I couldn't escape and was trapped in the noise.

I found a cafe, bought a coffee and sent a text to a couple of forum friends. Bless them they responded immediately. One phoned but the noise was so great we couldn't hear one another. I had my coffee and practised grounding and took deep breaths. I had 2 hours to wait for the bus back.

I'm proud I took the decision to leave the market totally. Once away, I found a pub, bought myself a small glass of white wine and was able to calm down. I phoned my friends and explained that I was safe. Later some of the other women from the mini bus came in as well, so I joined them until it was time to come home.

Now I feel very tired. Tomorrow is a busy day as well, but for that I will have H at my side.

I am relieved to be home.
