I'm feeling AWFUL! I made the mistake of putting some tap water that I thought was out of the tap long enough to be free of chlorine. Not so! 12 of my 14 fish died and the other two don't look too well either. I could not get to the grocery store to buy some distilled water for 3 weeks, and the water needed to be changed, it was stinky! Like all 14 of my babies were swimming around in their own poop, basically. I feel so guilty, but I don't have a car and my neighbor who usually takes me to grocery and my other helper did not come and has been off for Thanksgiving or off for a Dr.s visit or whatever for 3 weeks, so I did not think to bother her. (Now my neighbor says she would have helped, but that is from a lady who was taken by ambulance last night to the H. OK, so she is out today, but that is not what I knew when I made the decision to use the water I did, sigh...

@Anrish Thank you. What can I do? I was more upset when they told us the first amount. I guess I had time to adjust. Still isn't going to get done soon. Oh well, you do what you have to. I'm sorry about your finger and your sadness. You are a real joy to me.

Thanks,@Britt.f7 actually the fish are doing better now again, so I think they may survive. What a relief. I have made so many mistakes this week, all because of a really grave error I made. I had good intentions, but I left myself open to all kinds of awful things. It is too complicated to explain further than that. But what I did was in ignorance. I did not know at all what I was doing! And then it spilled over into my life in other areas too, just because it was such a grave error... I guess I am repeating myself, but I guess that is to make it sink into my head that my dreams and hopes about it all were naive.

I've been working on self-compassion and I feel tender, kind, and loving towards myself and towards others. I feel light-hearted and care-free. I feel strong; spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. I am basically happy, *(although I am still a bit ill from having bronchitis).

I'm tense....and a bit hyped up. I'm scared of next Thurday (work Christmas party)....and I don't want to go...I don't want to spend more time with some of these jerks...

@Britt.f7 I am really sorry about the price going higher. I have had septic tanks before and it does get really expensive. The real problem is if you leave it as it is it could cause worse complications for you guys. You are being so calm about the entire things. I am proud of you and know you guys will find a way to a good solution. Many hugs.

@Anrish I am sad about your hurting finger. I hope that you can find ways to make it feel better as it heals.

@gizmo Thank you for your support. Not much I can do at this point. Plus they said they can't begin until next spring because of the ground. Though I am not sure if that includes the work that needs to be done on the inside. All this chaos. I'm trying to make the best of it. Bought candles for the smell. Thank you again for everything.
