What are you having for dinner? (wanna share your recipe?)

@Lucycat - recipe? The chorizo, onion, apple salsa sounds lovely.

Still experimenting with different crusts for casseroles and savory pies... and tonight's meatless... so I'm rolling with Tomato Pie with Cheddar Crust (haven't a clue on the other dishes as I'm slug-a-buggin' this morning). Doing a second version for a breakfast casserole (nixing the bacon for the one tonight). Recipe is in video form here: https://www.foodnetwork.com/videos/tomato-pie-with-cheddar-crust-0220634

I expect I'll be playing around with the "filling" on that recipe because I'll be wanting more veggies to be sure so less cheese and more likely either cauliflower or yellow squash with onion. The breakfast version will likely be diced ham and egg so it's more like quiche.

Experimented with Shirataki konjac Noodles, very low carb noodles, made pad thai with em.

Washed the noodles well then simmered em in vegetable boullion for 5 minutes.

Heated 1 tbsp oil in wok
Stir fry onion n garlic
Add prawns & dried shrimps n stir fry for a bit
Add egg n stir fry
Add noodles & beansprouts & sauce n stir fry for 2 - 3 minutes
Serve with coriander and peanuts

Sauce was Mae Sri Pad thai sauce, though will learn how to make my own as the primary ingredient is sugar which kinda ruins the low carb thing.

Anyway, tasted great and my first time using these noodles, will be happy to use em again.

Found this one but haven't tried it yet.

Miso Nut Sauce:

1/4 cup nut butter
2 Tablespoons rice vinegar
1 Tablespoon each of: white miso, soy sauce, siracha
Whisk in 3 tablespoons of water until desired consistency

(For over noodles or Banh Mi type sandwiches)

So I'm making the third recipe here and it calls for you to roast aubergines, and I've just done that. Only when they came out of the oven they looked so good I've eaten half of em already. With a little lemon juice, olive oil n sriracha. Best thing I've eaten in ages!

Makes so called treat food look paltry in comparison!

Shall make the recipe now.

Those all look delicious @berlinda!

I have to get out of my cooking comfort zone. Never even heard of Yotam Ovblabada. ? I make the same stuff all the time. I can experiment with my NEW STOVE!! (never had a new stove, always used). I'm so excited. Can ya tell? ?????

Thanks for sharing!!
