I'm waking my son up two hours early so that he can call in sick to his job. Doesn't thrill me.

I go to the Senior Center most days and there are many folks who are older than I am, so I hold the door for them, and go into places for them when we all ride the bus together. I will get someone a shopping cart, so they can lean on it. I bring it right up to the bus for them, so they won't fall. Then when they are done with it, I bring it back to where it is supposed to be stored. Our bus drivers appreciate my doing this also, as it makes our bus trips around town easier on them and faster.

I drove my sister and her partner around for several hours.
I was there for people emotionally.

I especially hold doors open for folks with walkers or in wheelchairs, but I also just hold them open for regular folks too.

I gave a small gift!

One of my neighbors saw a copperhead snake in our lobby of where we live. Her husband killed it. She went around to all the other tenants in our building who answered their doors and told them to be aware of the possibility of other such snakes nearby. She said she could not get one tenant to answer his door. I saw him and I told him of it. This way he knows to watch out for others snakes too!

I drove four hours for people to get them home.

I sing in the church choir. We lead all our brothers and sisters in song and keep everyone one on key.

I gave substantial support. I organised for a person's special occasion. I started to think things through.

Over the last 2 months, I have donated a car as well as 3/4 of my possessions to various charities and friends in need. Moving can have a silver lining and force one to review what one actually needs.:happy:

I walked a dog, which because of her severe problems doesn't get that much fun in her life. I got her to have fun today.

I sent cards to make people happy and for them to feel cared for in their lives. I wanted them to feel appreciated.

I tried to give my neighbour a block of chocolate to thank him for being a good neighbour. He is a meth/ice addict who mainly uses pot, but despite that he is a nice man. Not safe to be around when he is on the heavier stuff. But I decided to acknowledge the good things that he does. He was chuffed and said to me I was the nicest neighbour that he had ever had. I said that I did appreciate his kindnesses and his looking out for my place. He does a bit of crime as well, but I connected to the good part of him. I would never invite him into my place, but I will always be courteous, and avoid him in the over drugged phases. So that was good.

I offered to start a herb garden for the local community due to the fact that we have had so much violence here lately. It has been rugged. I listened to people and organised things.

I got keys for everyone in the flats so we are all safe! I spent $50 and that is a lot of money for me!
