What Does Freedom Mean To You?

As a victim of childhood abuse, I have a different definition of freedom than normal people do. I believe that freedom is when I can freely express myself without biased. Will not be judged based on my gender (born female and still female and will always be female). I will have equal rights to a male and there is no gender discrimination. Freedom would be when I live life on my conditions and not being stuck in a cage (parents house). I mean all that normal people do.. Sorry,, my head is all over the place. So what does freedom mean to you?

Eternal vigilance. Freedom to me means that while someone is not actively hurting me anymore, I have to make certain it stays that way.

I think when I am myself I am freed. Thats all I need.

I only want to be with myself. That's all I need. Live life on my conditions than following rules. Just don't want to see them anymore.

Able to live my life, in whatever gender, I choose for myself and my companion, without the fear of being attacked or worse. To be taken seriously, for whom I am, by those, in authority. To live my life, free of fear,self-hatred and filled with confidence.
