My current go to song:
Enya: Celtic Women sing, May it Be which a hopeful song about a journey....a lonely one, far away from home, but the message is: if you believe, you will find your way. My folk group and string/recorder group play this and it is always a renewing goosebump moment. This song usually alters my mood....helps get me back on track....
John Denver believe it or not: The Eagle and the Hawk (freeing), Take Me Home, Country Roads (makes me feel belonging), and Rhymes and Reasons (
The Hallelujah Chorus-any time of the year.....way goosebumpy when sung by the right group and soloists!
Johann Strauss-His Best Waltzes Album (I learned to love waltzes on my grandfather's old vinal albums ) Strausses waltzes are goosebumpy! Dancing a fast waltz (think The King and I) with someone else who can....very goosebumpy!
The Courante-I love Michael Pretorius! When we play recorders/strings we all feel this one! Group goosebumps! Sighs......
Celtic: I sing only one song for the group....Shule Shule Shule Aroon (very sad but very beautiful Celtic piece) but Fields of Athenry and She Moved Through the Fair also are beautiful.
Elton John: Spirit in the Sky (tells a feelings story) about something stolen

I can belt out "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" I just dig this song! and sooo much fun! It's just but a moment in time when I sing it, but what fun....!

Also familiar with Ba'hai teachings, as I have friends who are Ba'hai and invited me to their prayer meeting in my younger years. Very nice folks. I'm very accepting of everyone's right to personal choice in the spiritual department. If I go to church, it is UU where everyone is welcome, no matter who you are and they invite individuality of thought and belief, as well as diversity. I was raised Catholic....way too many rules for me...but I think the spiritual realm is important-it provides strength and hope when I do feel hopeless.

I love the diversity of music at the UU....sometimes good old fashioned bluegrass, sometimes recorder group, or a string quartet, an amazing pianist doing classical, or students from the local college who come to share their talents with secular vocal pieces. Sometimes we even have dancers come....or meditation.....a very diverse mix of people who support basic values...something as a teacher in public school I find lacking. Thanks for sharing in this thread....I found it thought-provoking.

If 'felt' counts, peace of mind and heart and soul!:notworthy:
And forgiveness, and much gratitude for it.:notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::)

I think peace of heart and soul brings peace of mind.:notworthy: I think maybe that's part of handling this 'stuff' ?..:happy:

Today, .. this morning I was thinking I haven't seen a bunny in the yard since one 'disappeared' and we found an injured one (it?? :(:cry:) close by , and then one was there this morning! :inlove:

Then today I came upon a pair of Canada Geese at the road! And one came about 5-6 feet up to me, straight away as I talked to it! But I didn't want it to get closer to traffic so I moved away.:) (An Easter bunny and chicks' ? )

~Hope. Or just the 'feeling' of 'future'/ being alive: like I saw a beautiful sun dress in my closet I've never worn, and actually thought 'I'd like to wear it at least once'. :wideeyed::)

I still have to say, some intangible things: joy, feelings of safety, protection, for a moment. :notworthy::) Gratitude. :notworthy:

I suppose today of all days the answer for me would be The Greatest of Love.:notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:

I found out about a beautiful thing yesterday, which is not something I heard or saw so much as came to know about. There is a service for the blind and the vision impaired in our country, (USA) that helps them to get special things that assist them to live a better, more fulfilling life. They can get all these things and services for free; it is all paid for with our taxes.

There is a nurse that comes out to see them, after an eye Dr. has given their prescription to the Department of Social Services. Then, once the nurse determines what they need, the DSS lady comes out to see them and gives them all kinds of things like special magnifiers, raised dots to put on their appliances, special knives to slice things without the possibility of them cutting themselves, etc. They can even help the blind person to be able to use a computer or give them a special phone that has huge buttons on it with large numbers, so they can see them. The DSS lady also helps them to learn how to use all these things.

I did not know all these things were available for the blind and vision and also the hearing impaired. She said another department helps the hearing impaired, so I did not learn much about that, just that is also exists and is free for the taking.

I was thinking about my niece today (she just got engaged). When she was little, about one or two years old I would tickle her and she would laugh uncontrollably (the best sound in the world) and then beg me to stop. Which I would then she would say "do it again". We would do this for awhile and I would be laughing as much as she would. Such a great memory! Now she's all grown up and marrying the love of her life.
