The ignorance of people.
Now that I'm done writing this, I noticed that this is a vent. So, vent coming, if you want to read on... :banghead:
Background: Moved last Friday, have no furniture but an armchair. Have been sick since surgery last Wednesday. Feel crappy.
So, when I moved in here, I told the landlord's representative that I did not see where and how the washing machine could be connected in the kitchen. They said, yes, yes, it can be connected. Let the washing machine get delivered and if it really should not work, we can arrange for the architect to find a way to do it. Told the guy to check because I could see that there was no way the machine could get connected but did not get anything else out of the guy. Of course, all the set-up/installation work would have been included in the price of the machine! Told the guy that too (landlord's representative)... Well, you probably guessed.
Just now my washing machine got delivered. Turned out they're doing some work by the entrance which is why no one can enter or leave the building directly but have to enter an adjoining building and walk around the corner (takes about 3 minutes, which can make delivery guys not too happy considering what washing machines and big freezer/fridges weigh). Well, stuff got delivered, fridge/freezer combo is beautiful (red), so is the washing machine (black). Nice. Told the delivery guy aka the guy who would have loved to install the washing machine for free to have a look at the connections underneath the sink. Surprise! There is really no way a washing machine could be connected since the sink etc. had not been equipped for it beforehand! Now, I could say "I knew it" and "see-eee?" but instead I'll be an adult and write to the landlord's representative saying I will not accept any costs for having my washing machine installed!
