What Moved You Emotionally Today?

I ate a brownie, but I have been on a diet since I can't remember when. I am supposed to be OFF sugar. I goofed up pretty badly today (food is my substance of choice). I hate myself for this! (hate is an emotion, right?). But that is not going to help, sigh....

One thing does occur to me that may have caused me to be "moved" to have a brownie. We have a new "party animal" that moved into our building yesterday. He played some loud music right after he got "settled" in. There have already been some complaints from others here about this guy. I heard it too. This is enough to make me upset enough to turn to a brownie. That was probably my trigger.

I hate myself for this!

@SheilaKathy  I have filed a report to the Federal Bureau of Fudge Brownie Patrol! You are now on a special task force watch...so you do not have to 'hate' yourself anymore.:clown:

You know all those movies where the angels ask, "What is one of your favorite things in life?" I will answer chocolate and brownies...or double fudge chocolate brownie icecream!:wacky:

Diet Chocolate Milkshake:
Dark Coca Hersey's Powder (you figure out how much you like...I use 1/2 of a Tablespoon)
One ripe Banana...as nicely spotted as possible to be sweet
lowfat or skim milk enough to fill half of whatever glass you will use to drink it in
*optional - low fat plain yogurt about three Tablespoons or to taste (I always add this for extra protein & calicum)

Blend in blender

variations to add (at different shake making times):
*a couple torn leaves of peppermint, or spearmint -or-
*a half of handful of blueberries or 3 nice large strawberries -or-
*a teaspoon of dry skim milk powder and ice cube(s) to make it frothy, thicker and cold -or-
*a few sliced almonds -or-
* a few walnut halves -or-
*protein powder or an egg white (cracked & cooked quickly in the microwave in a bowl) -or-
*vitamin or veggie powder of choice -or-
*a drop of almond extract -or-
*a drop of vanilla extract -or
* a pinch of cinnamon
*a pinch of nutmeg
*sneak in a cooked kale leaf stripped from center or one or two spinach leaves-but blend first with the lowfat milk before other ingredients (just add a little more chocolate)

Bottom line ...satisfied craving ;)
I felt moved to share a non-cooking recipe lol

Day 16: I was moved emotionally by some nostalgia photos from our area from the 1940's, 50's and 60's and an article that noted that Bing Crosby was so intrigued by the name Apalachicola that he was determined to use it in a song. He did apparently and when I got home from work I looked it up on youtube... Apalachicola F-L-A. If nothing else I love where I live.

A Face Book video. It was a little dog that was left behind when it's owner moved. A long haired dog that had grown to look like a dirty dust mop. It acted ferrel, running in fear and trying to bite those that were trying to capture it. Then, with some very slow, gentle TLC it changed. Relaxed a little. Scared but allowed touching.

The change to a need for care and love, and acceptance of it, was palpable. The dog had to be completely shaved. Then fast forward a few months and the dog was happily running and playing with other dogs. Just a heart warming outcome.

I went for a walk around the lake here. It was such a nice day and to see the sun glistening off of the water. I just love being able to take the peace and quiet in.

When I got home, I found that my accountability friend had called. I called her back and listened to her talk about some of the things that are happening in her life at the present time.

I was moved by the honesty of a younger colleague. We had almost an argument some time ago when she blamed me for keeping my knowledge to myself. I told her that she just has to come to me and ask...and I will explain her as far as I can do. ...and our relationship changed in a positive way and she even talks more to me. It kinda moved me.

I went to a birthday party and there were about 25 ladies there. We sang, ate and enjoyed one another's company a lot. The food and service at that restaurant we had the party at were excellent, so we all gave good tips and cudos to the waitress. She handled the serving of our meals with a lot of finesse. I had a good time, as did all the other ladies who were there. I had a spaghetti pie and it was yummy. I enjoyed getting out of the house, being with different folks and the food was great. I even had a pink lemonade. It was pretty and tasty.
