What Moved You Emotionally Today?

I have been reading HEAVEN IS FOR REAL by Todd Burpo which tells of his toddler son's visions and experiences while he was in Heaven. Little Colton had his appendix burst when he was 3 years old. Drs. had to go into his abdomen and remove the poisons that had leaked into there. During his many operations that were done to clear this out, he went to Heaven for 3 minutes. He later told his father all about what he experienced there. It is miraculous. I highly recommend this book. There was a movie by that title also, but I have never seen it. However, knowing what Hollywood does to such stories, I would recommend the book anyway. Get all the facts that way!

I was moved by my mother. I stayed overnight at my parents' place and she was so worried that she didn't have had time before to put new sheets on my bed - because it's a rare occassion when I stay home and she wanted everything to be nice for me. I calmed her down, but it was kind of sweet of her.

And I was moved by my father's interest in my bachelor thesis. It's not often that he asks for details of my study or my job...but he bombarded me with questions, somehow unusual but a good feeling.

I heard a jam that Anrish uploaded and remembered dancing in concerts as a teen. Long hair, arm in arm with people that were strangers, sun shinning and peace + love among everyone. Food, hugs were shared, no racism, no gender division, children playing freely without fear, jugs of wine, cheese blocks homemade (ect) and so much trust. We were all celebrating as we thought there would be no more war...

A friend of mine could not find a cloths line in the all the stores around town. She even went to Walmart, which is 12 miles from here, and they did not have one either. One local hardware store had one for something like ten dollars, which everyone agreed was an outrageous price for a piece of rope, essentially. Then I looked all over a store again, and finally found one and it was only three dollars and fifty cents. She was overjoyed and so was I! She at first thought I was kidding when I said I found one, but then I had to convince her that I really did find it. She said "God bless you." to me. I was very happy to hear those words and touched.

I have been switching devices and computers while wrestling with OS varied media players, tags, smartphones, software media conflicts and synced onslaught for labeling until I wished for a record player!:shifty: Finally I am very happy to say despite Itunes upgrades, Windows Media Players not meshing as well as the vanishing DVD installed player...I have accomplished exporting my meditation CD and a few other music files. :meh: I do have a few choice words for the cloud...

All in all, I was emotionally moved...into appreciating the internet geeks and their postings. Wonder where the DVD graveyard is?:clown:

I want to stay in touch with God, in touch with Jesus, in touch with my feelings too. My thoughts interrupt that closeness. That makes me angry, as my thoughts are just mental wanderings into imagined futures. I think this is going to happen, or that or something else. However, every time I think those thoughts, I disconnect from my connection with God. I don't want to do that, but I do, and then I get upset with myself.

@Anrish :hug: No, thank you!:)

I watched a movie concerning Yves Saint Laurent, a fashion designer whose clothes I wore through out life and enjoyed (the cheaper ones). I was astounded over how his life partner's Pierre Berge love as he stayed by his side and was so supportive. Flowing vibrant textiles or breathing art draped on statuesque feminine grace.

Yves lived with bi-polar disorder, addictions and quite a bit of childhood trauma due to being bullied for his sexual orientation. So many creative people...seemed so glamorous from a distance growing up. However, life appears equally challenging to all across the board- just better toys.:)

He is no longer designing of course as he has passed. Interesting retro of fashion however from his corporations show in Paris.
