Why Does Walking Down The Street Trigger Me?

You're producing endorphins that bathe your brain and elevate your mood. Plus you're not around distracting energy. I wonder how you'd feel if you did your run and then go do your errands. Then see if the endorphin affect gets you through it?
 
My T has me walk slowly by using a heal to toe walk style. Focused first on three things there textures there color n how they might feel. We touch plants .then name three sounds is it close by far away or in between. We breath as we slowly walk. I relish these walks. Maybe you can practice in a low stress environment.
 
Maybe during the day there are more things for your senses to take in so you get overwhelmed more quickly? Also, as far as the crystal goes, it is best to rub it with lavendar to 'reset' it at the end of each day. Keep in mind if you keep it in your purse that it picks up the energies of other objects in your purse or your purse itself. I find holding the stone and rubbing it helps me to ground out to my crystal and if I try to picture it as a mirror reflecting the energies that come near me back away from me it helps a ton as well.
 
Yes, Shimmerz, she did tell me the same things. She built a replication of my house out of crystals in her room and she visits it daily to send healing intentions to me. Every time I see it, she has added different crystals or rearranged it to help me. She is making progress. All of my chakras are spinning now although my root is weak. No big surprise there, huh? I mean with CSA and lousy attachments with parents and all.

This sounds like she is kick a** @KwanYingirl . I wonder if you can use imagery to visit that crystal house as well? Chakras many times need to be re-calibrated. Mine are a mess most times. I am loving that people are relating to crystals and imagery and going to healers as I find this stuff works so well for me!
 
What does that mean, imagery? I do think about it and feel comforted. She is teaching me a lot about crystals and this whole energy healing has been a great benefit. Today I am blue and didn't sleep well, but that is now the exception not the norm. Have you read any PTSD articles about the benefit of yoga and Reiki for people with PTSD? I think it's fascinating.
 
@KwanYingirl, Do you think it makes a difference whether it's raw or polished? Do you have any pointers on which type/shape/etc. to buy? I see tourmaline beads online going for wildly different prices - I wonder what the catch is.
 
I don't think it matters if it's smooth or not. All the pieces I have are jagged. I have a smooth lepidolite which is a source of lithium and that shouldn't get wet or washed with soap. I believe tourmaline comes in several colors, the ones I was given are black. One website about crystals suggested cleaning crystals with the smoke from burning white sage (which also cleanses negative energies in the home. I've done that twice) there's so much to know. I can tell you that my Reiki gal places crystals over my chakras but I never asked her what they are. I am not kidding, but when she places one over my third eye, I feel vibration!

I don't think so... I think it has more to do with the locations you're visiting / type of places. Crowds???

You confirmed this yourself, as you're not affected when running.

Next time, the moment you start to notice a spike in your behaviour, STOP. Do nothing and just process what is in your head, or try to... and see what it getting you so anxious on approaching. Is it the type of store, is it all stores, so forth?
