My heart goes out to you. My healing journey has been all about redemption. I have recently learned there is a very good chance I am autistic. The woman I am dating is and she noticed things about me that led her to think I might be. I took all the tests and scored very high so now I am considering a full evaluation. It is another layer of the onion. It helps me to think of it all as a grand adventure. In regards to your desire to help other, that is wonderful. One of my sons is a child protection investigator. He had mental health issues and alcohol issues. He cleaned that up and now he owns his own home and has a lovely wife. He is amazing. It sounds like you are on the same path. Keep at it.
