Yoga and medatation

My psyciatrist has suggested that I try yoga and medatation in order to help me relax and let go of memories from the past. Any thoughts out there?
 
This is coming from a spouse but I am also a yoga instructor. I have read a TON of positive information about how well Yoga combats some PTSD symptoms.

I think it is worth a shot, its only an hour long and it could have a wonderful impact. Just make sure to go in with an open mind and try to find a good instructor! :)
 
I think it would be quite beneficial, as its focused on breathing, relaxation, whilst stretching and feeling good at the end.
 
Yoga and meditation won't help you let go the memories of the past, but it is very helpful with managing your activation level from triggers.
