You Know You Have PTSD When...

@Cashew : Remembering names ain't that important. Remembering the persons is what counts...(from my point of view). Maybe that makes it a bit easier for you. I also often forget names....

When you see one hell of a movie, feel happy, drive home and...just break down because happiness is...unknown.

@Anrish, I know how you mean, though not what I mean; I tend to go by name-and-some-detail as pretty eidetic recall about people, so matching names with people is bringing back whole treasures of histories buried.

When you watch triggering movies to move yourself back to normal, as spotting all the bits in which they're Just Movies, is fun. >.>

When after trying to not have something bother you, you call the day a loss since don't have to do anything, and go off to isolate and meditate.

Going to sister in laws tomorrow and will write and figure things out with her. She has been enforcing the no contact for me and we will work out what to tell them to make them give me space.

The "we miss you and want to see you" in my birthday card was enough to make me not want to even open this one.

Can't see people who in nightmares want to hug you and you wake up sweaty and screaming when you run from them.

When you are infront of a panel of Drs. that ask if you have outside support and you calmly look at them, & offer Myptsd.com works fine. Then they insist, no we mean real people in your life. So you look them in the eye and offer, "There are over 24,000 members. Perhaps, the difference between 'normies' and this PTSD-er is that I process and normies live."

When you read on someone's facebook that clocks get turned back Oct. 25th, 2015, and it's Oct. 31 and you haven't changed your clocks. You look at your clocks, look at your phone, wonder why your son hasn't been late for school. Ten minutes later you decide this person must be wrong *(yet again).
