When you get crazy overwhelmed over tiny things

When you sleep on the floor because that has always been a comfort for you... despite paying for a very comfortable but expensive bed...

When you have to check the coast is clear when taking out the rubbish to the communal bins (or trash, as you'd say in the US!) like some kind of covert operation and PRAY you don't bump into a neighbour. I want to be friendly, I'm just a frightened rabbit :tdown:

You go for a quiet walk to get some fresh air as you haven't been out for a while and you happen to be passing a cemetery. You're badly dissociating and probably look very vacant, pale, and a bit of a state. An older man on a bike passes you... the poor man looks suddenly terrified and waves his hand in front of his face like he is genuinely checking to see if you are a ghost of a young woman or not!!! :confused::(

When you find yourself thinking.... "wtf is wrong with my BRAIN?! why can't I stop thinking about (insert horrible life event)?"

When you realize once again, denial is real.... because PTSD.

When you tell someone who knows your trauma history that you are afraid and they ask why? So you start to panic more because it triggers trust issues and issue s of not feeling heard. Of course you don't feel like explaining it for the hundredth time but the intrusive memories start pouring in at the mere word "why"

Then you show that person the above post and they say they don't get it. If you do get it, you know you have PTSD.
