Sorry...should have read 'You know you have PTSD and finally accepted it...When you wake up one day and the insanity that is PTSD is now your normal. When the anger you've carried for so long at the fact that your life has had to make such a radical shift is gone. You know the PTSD is still there and can raise its ugly head when it wants to, but you actually start feeling human again.

I guess I should add that you know you have PTSD when things in your head don't necessarily translate to the keyboard even when you think they have.

I understood it the first time HA!! How's that for being part of the group ;) And yes, I totally get it.

H is a lousy passenger, he fidgets, yesterday I was driving (yes the big drive), H starts fiddling with stuff, he picks up his house keys, next minute he blows a whistle - aargh, he was lucky I didn't drive off the road.

And you realize the individual he is referring to is YOU.

God, I still feel ashamed about writing this. I told my T about it and she understands. I guess I'm stuck on 'old tapes' that are constantly telling me how I'm making a 'big deal out of nothing.'

I have these but I'm so scared this is the way out :(. Since starting T, I've come to realise I'm scared of dying and I WANT TO SURVIVE.
