You Know You Have PTSD When...

... when you have to go to the skin doctor tomorrow for a skin check (to check all your moles because you have had a pre-cancerous one before) and you are clenching your teeth all day long so badly that your jaw aches and sometimes you have a headache too. He is a male doctor and there is no female doctor who is a dermatologist anywhere nearby where you live other than him. (You live way out in the mountains, so the closest one who is a female probably is like 3 hours away). [And you would have to take public transportation].

When you read the news forum, Nov link in ScienceDaily for helping those in PTSD and you stumble on these words from the Trigger' for stress processes discovered in the brain

"...perhaps in people suffering from mental illness such as depression, burn out or posttraumatic stress disorder, but also in cases of chronic stress brought on by pain."

And then you stress, obsessively reading it over and over -trying to measure the comas to see how far away the PTSD is from the M word...like it will save you from your diagnosis if it is just far enough. :meh:
