You Know You Have PTSD When...

You know you have PTSD when:
1. you are proud of yourself and pat yourself on the back for not breaking out in a hysteric cry
2. butterflies control your stomach at any given moment
3. you go off on a tangent when someone does something stupid or dumb and people look at you as if you are "crazy and strange"
4. you stop mid way in the middle of a conversation with someone and daydream about something that happened 20 years ago and then you can join back in the conversation-I consider that multi-tasking

You're angry at your speed no matter where you go because while people around you think it's faast, you damn know better, you're sluggish as all hell and there were sounds you missed entirely.
You hate being out of sync so much but going with some crowds just pisses you off so much, because zombies'd prolly be faster.
When the only places you feel like ranting about stuff like that are PTSD forums.

When you keep reminding yourself of your mentor's words, that being alive is still your first and foremost job and to stick to that one regardless of how all the other works work out or not.

(Besides @Ladyghosthunter, I bet there's like thirty scared-of-ghosts families where you are that need your expertise and others with 7-5 jobs can't do it.)

When you feel like nothing matters anymore - yourself the least - and when it doesn't scare you. Because you're used to that feeling...when you can't control your body impulse's and don't know if you shall give in or not...because doing something good for you...(like eating) and trying not to gain weight again...
