Pregnant?

I think I may be pregnant. I haven't missed a period in a few years and right now it's barely spotting. Wouldn't that be something at this point in life? late 40s and pregnant? and single? boy oh boy.

This may sound ridiculous but are you sure pregnancy is a possibility? Could it be very early menopause? I'm not quite at that stage myself yet but if you've always been regular things can start to go awry. Have you done a test?

I've had friends whose periods started going wonky at much younger ages.

If you havent taken a test AND gone seen a Dr, then theres MANY answers for period slow down. Menopause, perimenopause, I have PCOS and havent had any sort of period for 3 yrs. It comes and spots for a day then leaves for another set of 3, 4, 5 yrs.

Stress seems to bring a full on one then off again. It scared me once when i had a full period as thats not normal for me.

Update. Test was negative. Gyn tomorrow. Haven't been in 3+ years. Probably perimenopause. I was never normal until about 8 years ago. Been on the day regular since. Whew but that was a brief, exciting scare.

I'm 42 and my period is all over the place these days but used to be every 26 days on the dot. I think it's either hormones, stress, or over exercise. Or all of the above
