My little me likes colouring in, riding her bike, swimming, playing with dolls and her doll house, singing, and playing the fool. Also likes lying in the grass and being on holiday which involves sun and pool.

I've been coloring today. Do you know Lisa Frank makes some grown up coloring books? Well I don't feel grown up coloring in them. I got right down on the floor, grabbed my gel pens and went to town.
It started sprinkling earlier so I went outside and did a few twirls (I have another dress on today, and it's poofy at the bottom). It fanned out when I twirled, and in that moment, I was indeed a princess.
But I've tired myself out so I am going to find a quiet spot to take a nap. I can't sleep with other people around me, but @Mal Content 's spot sounds mighty nice if shes up for sharing. x

I'm reading this and finding it very hard to connect with toys, play, and imagination as a kid...think I missed out on that bit?...Will keep reading in the hope that I'm wrong.......it is an enjoyable read though.

I'm not able to find any connection to the toys and games, either, or even with the children, but it does feel nice to hear the others having fun. :)

@illusionist I never was that way either, but then I started having nieces, and then had a girl, and I got to live the childhood I really didn't have. and sometimes it is nice just to sit on the sidelines and watch for a bit, maybe we will stumble upon something that interests you and mal x

Don't get me wrong.....I love this thread!

I used to love when my kids were young...I was able to be the kid I never was...absolutely loved it. This place reminds me of those times.

I played out what I wanted my play to be, rather than what It was. I genuinely had no imagination regarding play. I could go down a shoot and enjoy it, because it felt good, for example. I enjoyed being ' naughty '.....I.e having a flan fight as its what I watched as a kid but didn't experience...Felt fantastic to ' feed the kid '....and let her out to finally enjoy it.

My little me bought a pair of Oshkoshes for my baby doll on Friday. She is a life sized baby doll, so I bought the 0-3 month's sized ones. I found them for a song and a dance at a Thrift Store.
