Taking a moment away from all the serious posting.... I've decided to share a true and real story!
I don't recall the exact year the mural was started, I obviously was very young though and obviously left an impression on the original artist who was killed before the mural was finished.
I met the artist, an award winning illustrator, who was working on the mural one day when I happened to be at the library and finished this beauty. In striking up a conversation with this artist (who also died after they had completed the work that needed to be done to finish the mural) I had found out from them that many people are depicted in this mural.
She showed me where she was in the mural and even showed me where... yours truly is in the mural. Yes! I am in a painting on wall in a public building here in town. :woot:
