No need to apologize Mate, this is a pretty screwed up world we live in and I live in a country that at least number one in that area or a tie for it.

Instead of an Island, think...............Colonize Mars. No one to mess with us, got enough brains, tech know-how, guts, you name it to get it done. Remember, Mars is the god of War so that's fitting. An island just isn't far enough away from all of this.

When I saw this on the news, a very new worthy event, I almost fell off my chair laughing. Gotta say, another fine example of our tax dollars at work.

Of course I have to say that I worked with a guy that would always get a sausage and pepper sandwich from the 'roach coach' on the site I worked on. We'd usually relegate him to a room to work by himself after lunch as the air in the room was toxic. But we'd still have to listen to his grunting and farting all afternoon. There was always a lingering 'scent' in the air, I think it got into the walls somehow. :ROFLMAO:

I am sitting in Human Histology (study of tissue structure) class right now and a gal of African descent is in the middle of a tirade about how wrong it is that here fully funded, free ride from the state for low income females of minorities is paying for this class which only features "white boy" pictures of human tissues and how this is racist because it implies white folks are superior. f*ck my life, I badly want to explode and go on a serious tirade of my own...

Side Note: As an ignorant Yankee, I have to ask what the hell a "scouser" is. The term keeps popping up and I am clue less.

Oh, you have no idea, Sludge. My first indocrination to English/Australian "information exchange" occured at Nurburgring, Germany. I had no idea there were so many ways to say f*ck, nor how many different ways it could be interpreted.

My two Australian friends at Ubon Thailand had me saying "huh" most of the time trying to follow the vernacular.

But they do it with such cool accents!!!! Coolest accents = The knock dead gorgeous thin lady with white hair on the TV series "highlanders" and the current Sci Fi TV show with the lady from Stargate.

Like the way I have a way with names and such? Hey, easy, I just had my eye butchered.

I'm getting better with the Queen's English...lots of BBC television programs have been on my screen for a few months. As for the Aussies, never had an issue understanding them, though I admire their slang.


The real anger kicks in here in Nebraska, where folks have no accent whatsoever demonstrating just how boring the place is. I am oft asked if I am Canadian or Irish due to my Northwestern PA mountain speech.
