You know what I had to do to even start the healing process? I had to be ok alone and single. I had to be ok not having a S.O. It doesnt mean I love myself yet but you really do need to love you first. So Im working on loving myself but I can honestly say that Im ok without a BF or husband. It would be nice but i dont need it.

Can you try to just become ok alone and work on loving you? Mrs Right will likely come when you arent looking and likely when you have acheived some "i like myself a little".

My niece is a school teacher in a poor neighborhood. Her student made her some hand made soaps. She felt loved. A hand made gift always implies great care for the person who is receiving it! That is what I think.

Yes you guys are so right. You have to be ready. Or at least trying to find positive things to say to help each other out before you take the dive. Because if I go into a relationship like I did eleven years ago. Once if she gets bored of me like my ex and runs me through the mud until she lets me go, I want to be active in trying to ask her and ask what her needs are first. The upright desires I mean. I mean like if she has an issue about friends and needing them then the solution would be to be a friend first and not a boyfriend right?

Not always but a good place to start. Id also say work on liking and loving yourself as you are befriending her as loving you always comes first. But thats just my 2 cents.
