@Neverthesame How true.... And now he is considering to stop the DACA program. This will affect soooooo. many young people that were brought in illegally as young kids by their parents. Trump wants to throw them out after their work or school visa ends. All I can say is.... Does anyone see an autocratic president here? Or am I the only one????

Is anyone else really disturbed by Trump's attacks on the media? I am really afraid for them. Truth tellers have always been targets, but I don't know of a time in the U.S. when they have been so targeted as now. I've felt a certain kinship with journalists all my adult life because I was a reference book writer. We adhere to the same standards of honest reporting and detailing of events. It is not an easy job. And our democracy depends on an informed populace, thus journalists are an integral part of our democracy. And now we have a POTUS who attacks them and undermines their mission on a daily basis. George Orwell would be freaking out. I know I am.

@hodge I've mentioned before that Trumps continually berating the press is the first way that an Autocratic society begins. It's what ever other leader of those type of countries do. They chip away at the press till they eventually have the power to limit them.

I can only hope that when congress gets back into session that they have had it with Trump and his verbal assaults on their members. I hope that they will see how dangerous he really is. I hope that Ryan and McConnell have the brains and the balls to finally do something!!!!! We do have checks and balances in government, but it's now time to start using them......
