The problem with companies like Equifax is, we really don't have a choice. They never asked my permission to collect data. Yet, without them having the data, I can't get a mortgage. Seems like kind of a questionable way to run things.

On Friday I called the number for equifax to sign up for their free credit check for a year. First of all you have to give the last 6 # of your SS number. It said that mine was one of those that was hacked. They then put me on hold. I was on hold for 57 minutes. Finally someone comes on the phone, I explain what I'm calling for and he gives me yet another # to call. (I almost lost my mind, but held it together). I then called the OTHER number, only to be on hold for 106 minutes. I f*cking hung up!!!!!

I honestly think that they are doing this on purpose so people will just give up, hang up and then they don't have to provide free credit checking services.

There are several attorney generals that are now suing, and I'm hoping Massachusetts is one of them. I'm pissed, I have fought really hard to get and keep my credit score where it is now, and I'm only 6 points away from 800 and if someone steals my info and takes out a credit card and ruins my credit, I think I will lose my mind. f*cking hackers need to find something else to do besides hurting innocent people........ f*cking assholes...

I refuse to be forced to download the messenger app. If someone wants to contact me, 99% of the time I give them my phone number. Otherwise I have to wait until I have non-mobile access to the Internet to check my FB messages.

This is my FIFTH hack. I am on my third round of credit monitoring and will likely continue to pay for it once the free period is up as its a pretty comprehensive service (not all are). Financial shit sends me over the edge. My credit score is high and I take many steps to secure my financial stuff, more steps than most.

I wish I could say I was worried about my credit score. But, due to medical bills, my credit score just came up out of the high 400s to the low 500s. Not much more anyone can do to ruin it. I also have been a victim of ID theft. That was a nightmare!

In a tweet today Trump called the leader of Noth Korea "Rocket Boy". I bet that went over really big, just like when John McCain called him a Short fat little guy" I sometimes think Trump is inciting Kim to do something....

I really think the sane response to Kim Jong-un is to just let him have his nuclear weapons and play nice, and I've heard other former State Dept. and other officials say the same thing. But I'm not in the government.

But, seriously, what else can we do? Kim wants reassurance that he will stay in power. I don't see that we have any alternative but to assure him of that. To do otherwise would mean millions of people would be killed. I would not want to live or die with that.

I don't know what the answer is either @hodge But seriously..... Calling him Rocket Boy isn't conducive for a peaceful alternative..... IMO, all it does is piss of Kim even more.... So why does Trump keep doing this shit???.

Well, I did it. I just had to, fear be damned. I wrote a post on my FB page about how Russian operatives are using all kinds of techniques to target us. I urged everyone on my friends list to stop doing those stupid personality quizzes, because I strongly suspect a lot of them are posted by Russian operatives in order to get info to better target us in the next election. Native Russian speakers make unique mistakes in English, and a lot of the quizzes are rife with them.

Cripes, brave new world where anyone on FB can take a role in non-physical warfare. I finally became such a soldier, throwing fears to the wind, because I love this country and want to protect it.
