I'm for it! It is a way to honor our military. And what is the big deal? In my state, we have already state military parades. What is the difference? A national parade will show national pride, honor, and solidarity to our military. We are focusing on the wrong subject matter. If someone thinks our President is a 'dictator' wanting to brag on his stuff, so be it. What better way to speak to other real dictators who only understand show of strength. I guess I don't get all riled up over this. If it is only about the money, lets, knock off unnecessary funding for frivolous spending the government has on the books. There are some doozies :woot: on the list...just saying'. Or maybe we ought to ask for the money we loaded into an airplane and gave to Iran...that would pay for lots of military parades! Everybody is spending too much energy hating the President. Maybe we need to put that energy into finding common ground. A house divided against itself cannot stand. If we fall, it will be both parties fault, if we fault a party, at all. I hope I get an invitation to the parade. I wanna go. An outing will do my PTSD brain good. Hope they throw candy from the tanks as they roll through the streets! :D:D (Had to lighten the thread a bit.) We react so often to things that we really do not know that much about. My husband's father was a spook, a spy, for the government and he kept telling us that we had no idea how deep the government goes. Because of our security, we are only privy to tidbits of information. He would tell us that if we knew, in full detail, what is being protected and strategized over, for the sake of the country (us), we would live in fear. Boy, did he have stories to tell, as they became declassified! Sadly, most declassified when he was in his 80's and he died shortly afterward.:() Ok, everyone, take deep breaths and do some grounding! :) Sleep well! I mean that!
