I roomed with a guy with schizophrenia and diabetes once, hilarious guy. We were great friends! Plus I hated coke and he loved coke so when I got coke I would just give it to him and tell him to be responsible, lol

So I’m slowly learning to say no to family members. I keep reminding myself that I have a right to not feel guilty. Even if saying no is ending phone calls quicker. But thankfully both recent insidences worked out. I said I didn’t want to go to the opera/play thing, and my family then changed their minds about wanting to go. I gave an alternate plan and we all slept in and did my plan. I said no to dinner tonight because I want to finish my schoolwork for this week, and though I was met with a short phone call (probably just because one of the three kids was asleep, probably nothing to do with me at all), I am here getting lots of work done and the dinner plan turns out to be better off tomorrow anyway.

The only thing is that I’ll be eating alligator tomorrow. I hear that tastes like snake.

I really, really love snakes, and alligators, have pet both species wild while people gave me funny looks. But I also cuddled pigs I was going to be asked to eat later, and supported broken hearted cows once or twice, so I can handle that.

Plus I ate pigeon once, but I LOVE pigeons so much. They are nice to pet.

But we’ll also be eating fish caught today in the Alabama shoreline tomorrow, so hopefully it still tastes fresh c:

Also my hair smells like cat spit now, Slinky the cat is trying very hard to show her appreciation of me by removing my hair from my ponytail, lol. It’s pretty tangled right now. Brushing curls is not a good idea. But it’s getting washed tonight now

Maybe this is why I have issues with food. My family makes fun of me any time I mention just the economic gains of having a meatless day or meal every week :x

Honestly though the local milk tastes fresh (always buy pasteurized) and the eggs from happy chickens — that have thick shells because they are healthy — taste better. More varied diets. Also, no guilt with your scrambled eggs and Ovaltine.

They tell me I’m dumb, but they’ve started talking me seriously since I got a degree and dared them to argue with me, haha. I’ll have my own chickens sometime, probably a goat and a sheep herd. Does the FDA still do grants for buying farmland? Last I heard, they said most farmers have two jobs or work in illegally bad conditions under Tyson or another barely punished company

Sort of wish I knew less about this, cuz my mom is about to bring me a burger made by a chain of misery
