Trying new train of thought.

I got free food today :)

I learned that smoked salmon might be called lox? When thin enough to be on a handmade bagel? They were distinguished people so I didn’t try to clarify definitions. I told my mom they called it “lox” and she nodded knowingly. So she knows about it.


It was the most amazing bagel I’d ever eaten. Seriously. What’s y’all’s anonymous P.O. Boxes? I’ll send you a bagel if I can afford them. I probably won’t get a second one for free. It was a gift.

I saw a lot of people I like today!

I am back to handing Nudge the snake for fifteen minutes twice a day. I noticed he was getting nervous with human handling, because for a while when I was at college, no one was handling him. Makes sense!

He’s chill now. Now I’m just obsessing over whether he’s overweight or underweight. I’m baffled at how small he is for a corn! It’s like he’s a dwarf. He’s got other mutations, though. Whatever gene the blue pigment is on may have other mutations that wouldn’t normally have been visible.

He’s fine mentally, physically, and intellectually. Just much smaller than I expected him to be by 2018!

Also — scruff-a-luvs, I think they’re called? GREAT gift for a kid!!!!

It comes as a ball. Packaging says it’s sad and has been neglected and whatever. Packaging directs child to give the scruff its first gentle bath.

When bathed, the ball undolds into an animal!!!!

By the time the new toy is “clean” and dried, the kid has already bonded with the toy.

Your strength that is amazing...both as a child and now. You survived such horrific abuse and yet here you are..a loving, kind spectacular person.

It is!! I’m seriously considering getting one for myself... :hilarious: looks like you can end up with a scruffy cat, a scruffy dog, or a scruffy rabbit! Either pink or blue. It’s a mystery (except for the color)!

Just kidding, that's a New York thing. But the best bagels really are from New York (although I have heard good things about the bagels in Montreal too).
