First major survey problem…. Game breaking bug… If you’re NOT working? It doesn’t let you continue on, but tells you that you have to answer the work related 1-5 Q’s. Even if you’ve selected that you’re not currently employed, earlier in the survey.

First minor survey problem… a whole bunch of -clearly qualifying- Q’s are asked about abusive childhoods… with zip/zero/nada/zilch asked in the way of other childhood traumas, nor in adult traumas, nor in preexisting diagnosis. Collecting data outside of your clear target of abusive childhoods? In zero way distinguishing it? Laaaaazy at best, and skewing to the point of invalidating your research, at worst.

Major/minor, above, MIGHT want to be reversed? As the second problem will kill peer review, or your grade if you’re a student; but the first problem kills completing the study… by both people inside & outside of your blindingly biased target group.

Could definitely have been longer seems to not really address marijuana use in the proper context. I don't use marijuana before or while working and I wouldn't recommend that someone does. It's more something to look forward to after work. To decompress and relax. It doesn't help to forget in my opinion. I think it helps us to tolerate what we can't forget. Other than that I'm glad your doing this study big fan of marijuana use as a method of tolerating PTSD. Had a medical card for many years until recreational legalizestion made paying for a card pointless.

Yes, we are hoping that folks only use marijuana to decompress after work as a way to cope. Our assumption is that cannabis use will reduce burnout, or at least stave it off for awhile.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Please focus on previous jobs you've had if you currently are not working. The questions related to childhood trauma come from the gold standard ACES questionnaire, which has been empirically validated. Questions regarding adult trauma are from the Posttraumatic Stress Disorders Checklist - 5, which is also a validated survey measure that has been updated to coincide with the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.

I have published several peer-reviewed articles in academic journals using the same questionnaires.
