Still using my camera as a crutch to go out the door. Made it down to across the street from the park this time! 009edit.webp021edit.webp032edit.webp037edit.webp048edit.webp

oh reclusive you've got a keen eye for composition, I especially love the long cactus and red buds. Very cool depth of field in both your images :D

What, no way DOF is so much fun It's a little hard for me sometimes I can never get my camera to do what I want it to do when I want to do it lol. Here is one of mine :notworthy:

Oh! Depth of Field - it's how much of a picture is in focus and how much isn't. Like one Sqweak's, the closest part of the rail is in focus, but the street sign much further away is out of focus.

Thanks you guys, The next thing I want to try is boken but I haven't gotten that right as of yet, lol.
Bokeh Is Japanese for the aesthetic quality of the blur. It's the rendition of out-of-focus points of light, very similar to depth of field.I don't know how you can pull it off in nature but here are a few links to really cool images of bokeh: Flickr,Flickr,Flickr! ;)

Oh duh.....yes, I have been practicing with DOF. It's not easy....! Shutter speed, aperture even ISO affect it. So fun to learn!

Yes I always end up dancing around like an idiot trying to get my camera not to focus lol but it's always worth it.
