T.: ""Don't not go with that instinct... hang on, what the f... did I just say?"

Me.: "Oh, it's ok, I got it."

T." "Wow, could you explain it to me then?"

Much snickering.

T.: "Well, at least you made it on time today... more than i can say for me." (after arriving late because 2 of his 3 children couldn't find their school shoes and he'd had to search the sodden backyard for 4 absconding school shoes, finding only a lone sock for his efforts).

When telling my T that I finally accomplished a goal we'd been working on-- but upon telling her that I was troubled that I had no positive reaction to this accomplishment--that I just felt nothing inside...

T: WOW! That's fantastic!! You did it!! I feel like jumping out of this chair jumping up and down and bursting into happy tears--I'm so moved!

Me: yeah, but I'm not--that's the problem.

T: It doesn't matter. I'm really happy!!---Then moves on to another topic

Me:---Well, geez, as long as you're happy.....that's what we're here for, right?!?:confused:

Sheesh...you know, I want to reiterate that my T. is a great guy. Especially for putting up with someone like me!

Me: silence- gone into catatonic state unable to move or talk
T:well goodbye then, call me if you change your mind about us helping you.

Tt: oh look you have a kitchen knife on your lounge floor- I will put it back in the kitchen for you.
