When you're so used to bouts of depression (and have had so much therapy talking about it) that you have become emotionally disconnected from the negative thoughts and merely observe their content to measure how deeply depressed you currently are.

When you are emotionally disconnected from your depressive thoughts but still feel like sh*t.

When the sylvester fireworks make you cry because everybody is celebrating that they survived another year and you just find it so touching how all those little people can be happy to be alive and look forward to another 364 days of this.

When you're 28 but feel like 110.
