@Sammyiam mentioned in another thread that I should change my avatar every day for the countdown...and that got me thinking.
I'm not sure I'll be able to do this every day for the next 29 days, but I'm hoping some other folks might jump on this with me.
As a way to keep it fun, and also inspired by @The Albatross matching funds challenge - I'd like to have a little pledge or match challenge going as we count down.
THE DAY 29 CHALLENGE
I will match and double every donation 'claimed' on this thread, up to the 29th one.
So, if you give $1.00, I'll give $2.00 - that means your $1.00 donation is now worth $3!
If you give $2, I'll give $4 - so together, we made $6
You give $5, I'll give $10
And so on...
The sky's the limit! (I mean that - I'm not a moneybags, but I had a really good year, have a nice tax rebate coming, and want to pay it forward.)
The only catch is: 29 people need to participate.
If we don't get up to 29 donations, I will match, but not double.
So, this just takes 29 people deciding over the next 12 hours - 'I can donate today!' - and we will be that much closer to our goal!
All you have to do is donate, and then come here and tell me how much you gave. You're free to do it as 'anonymous' as well - so if you want to stay secret, you can :)
So if you haven't given yet, today is a great day to do it!
(and 'today' ends at 11:30pm central time, US)
