Mentally Disabled Siblings, Can Anyone Relate?

I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?
living with a mentally disabled brother from birth to 12.
he was my abuser, so wondered if anyone can relate. especially with not understanding that he had no control over his actions or parents ignoring the clear damage caused.


there are also extremely odd things that only people living with this kinda thing would relate.
ie, trying to have friends over but your naked 17 yr old brother is in the middle of the lounge room driving his trucks through his own poo, with an erection. making car noises.
if you have I must watch movie called "The black balloon" extremely funny.

Yes, a brother was born with developmental disabilities. He died when he was 8.

No, there is not a correlation between mentally/developmentally disabled and "f*cktard asshole."

well he was a f*cktard as well as a tard... lol so cheeky & naughty. the last words he could say were in his best steady Eddy voice "Kimberley NO" & then laugh like the count off sesame street! can laugh at that now but at 6 I hid in cupboards. but everyone knew where I was cause Troy was standing outside it just continuously yelling Kimberley NO!!!

I'd "like" this a dozen times if I could. Intellectual capacity has zero correlation to ass-hole-ish-ness. I do believe that A1 jerks run the gamut from intellectually challenged all the way up to pure genius.

I can sorta relate to that. I would hide in my closet and still dont get why cuz they always knew where i was (and was older than 6 at the time tho it all started about 6) but still thought it was the 'safest' place at the time.

Oh lord, the things i laugh at about my trauma, my therapist is sometimes looking at me like "thats not funny" but id go crazy if i couldnt laugh at least some of it.

None of it is funny and the 'dog thing' i really shouldnt of posted on here; i recently stopped doing by posting about it and someone had a great idea as to how to stop and it worked and i found a lot of emotions around it so sorta good i did but almost rather still be doing it than what happened...but anyway. Sorry, dont mean to throw your thread off topic

True but her brother was possiblity her abuser if abuse happened. She posted it in her intro page.
