But can he fend off a group of attackers while trying to wrestle a detonator out of the hands of one of them? That I doubt.

What if this putz accidentally does something to spook the bomber while standing there? If it were a real bomb, that may have been enough for the hijacker to set it off. Then everyone on board would be dead. And for what reason would anyone do something so utterly immature and potentially deadly?

I read the entire story completely differently. I read of a man who was held with one or two others and the crew after all the other passengers had been released, who was trying to show that he was not intimidated or frightened by this 'would-be' terrorist. I wasn't there, obviously, but the fact that they have immediately reported that the 'terrorist' was 'psychologically damaged' made me think that was perhaps perfectly clear to those people present. Of course it all had to be treated seriously, but I think they - Ben and the crew- were trying to make a point.

I don't see it as insult to anybody.

To anyone reading or replying to this thread. Let me explain my anger at this incident. Having suffered serious blast fractures as I myself was injured in a bombing attack, now as well being max on morphine every day to ease the pain in my spine, I insensed at even the idea that Ben Inness actions were anything other than deplorable.

If I come across with unintentional sarcasm at any time I explain, not justify my actions. I am in so much pain at the moment and on so high a dose of morphine I am barely able to function most of the time.

I give my assurance that I will not reply to this thread or any other member without reading twice and rereading any responses so that I do not overstep the mrk again.
