I'm a book person - I study serial killers, weird! I have since I was a kid. I read ALOT! I'm really enjoying Val McDermid at the moment. I will confess to being a crime channel addict!

Criminology is my passion! I'm like a human library when it comes to any info. I'm glad we have a common interest - well a few with the sounds of it!

What fact do you read? And what's your favourite fiction? :)

One of my favorites for fact, on the topic of the brain, is Animals in Translation by Temple Grandin. Others for fact... I tend to grab everything available in the library and/or use google scholar to find scientific papers. When I was going to college, I had access to our college libraries which had so much more available to read! :) I mostly read stuff about animals - animal classification, animal taxonomy, animal behavior and physiology, etc, as well as environmental reads like Silent Spring by Rachel Carson or A Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold.

Fiction - my favorite series right now is The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. I'm currently reading Orson Scott Card's Homebound series, and have read most of his other works. I also enjoy some of the classic authors like Charles Dickens, Shakespeare, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes). I liked 1984, Contact, and most everything by Michael Crichton. However, the majority of my "fun" reading comes from the high-fantasy genre and can range from the more intense lengthy reads like The Lord of the Rings, to shorter, simpler, fun junior reads like the Warriors series or Animorphs.
